8th Grade Drive Through Clap Out

1) "Drive Through Clap Out" will be held on Monday, June 15th at  2:50.

2) We ask parents and students to decorate their cars prior to this event.  

3) Please enter the main parking lot and drive slowly along the loop towards the main gym.  Staff will be spaced out six feet apart along the loop cheering on students as they drive through and are "clapped out" of CMS one last time. 

4) After you drive through the loop, we ask that you exit the back of the parking lot onto North Ave.

We thank you for your  support and assistance and look forward to celebrating our students.

Yearbooks:  We are still waiting to hear confirmation of when the yearbooks will arrive for both Millington and Central Middle School.  Our Yearbook Club placed the order on time but publishing at Lifetouch is slow due to the COVID 19 pandemic.  The Lifetouch factory is only working at 50% due to the pandemic..  We are in communication with Lifetouch regarding updates but they cannot provide us with a specific date for delivery.  If the Yearbooks do not arrive on time we will schedule a time in the summer for pick up and also adjust the date of the 8th Grade Yearbook Event.  

Refund Information: 8th Grade Trip to Washington D.C.  
Families will be refunded in full based on what was paid towards the trip.  The Business Office has not mailed these checks yet.  They hope to process these refunds in the near future.  I thank everyone for their patience with this process. 

Refund Information: Theater Arts 
Please see the attached letter for details. 

Our school must maintain daily attendance for students.  If your child is sick and unable to participate in the daily remote learning activities it is necessary that you communicate this information via email to our nurse Karen Bissett at kbissett@longhill.org and our secretary Stephanie Alber at salber@longhill.org.   Please include the standard information that the nurse always requests which includes the list of symptoms and whether or not the child was evaluated by a physician.

Parents, if your eighth grade son or daughter currently has plans to attend a high school other than WHRHS, please email Mrs. Romaniuk at 
cromaniuk@longhill.org. Please include the following information in the email; your child’s name and the name of the high school they will be attending. Thank you!

This year's summer music camp has gone virtual!  As we enter our 38th year, The Sending District Summer Music Program has adapted to our new reality, while maintaining its educational integrity. Our pedagogy and methods remain effective and substantial; our delivery is simply digital. Through extensive research and practice, we have sorted through the quagmire of audio and visual complexities, we anticipate the varying needs and questions of our students, and we look forward to guiding your children on their musical endeavors.  This year's program runs on weekdays beginning Wednesday, June 24 through Friday, July 17.

It’s never been harder to ensure that students are playing their instruments. Our camp provides an opportunity for their practice time to be substantial while their skills and passion deepen. The difficulties of this crisis make it easy to forget how special music is. This year, more than ever, our camp will emphasize this truth, while delivering meaningful instruction.

We have created a video which breaks down the new format of our camp.  Please watch the video, visit our website, and encourage your children to join us. In addition to the playing time, this camp will provide some desperately needed social interaction with like-minded peers.  We would love the opportunity to work with your children this summer!
