Central Middle School's musical theatre production this year will be Beauty and the Beast Jr.  Performances will be:

This year’s WHRHS Sending Districts Summer Music Camp will run from June 26 through July 19 at Central Middle School in Stirling, NJ, with a concert on July 18th at 10:00 am.  The program is sponsored by the Long Hill Township PTO and is open to all students entering grades 4-12 from any of the sending districts (and friends from other districts too!).  We offer classes for band, jazz band, orchestra, guitar, ukulele, and piano.  There are several levels of band and orchestra to accommodate everyone, and the ukulele/guitar/piano classes are for beginners.
Band and orchestra students receive a lesson and ensemble rehearsal every day, so students make about 4 months worth of progress in just 4 weeks!  We take kids from wherever they are and work to improve their skills while in a relaxing and social atmosphere.  The more kids that come, the better our program is and the more fun we all have!  New this year--we are doing an online registration.  Please go to Miss Varner’s website at https://sites.google.com/longhill.org/jvarner/home/summer-music-camp or scan the QR code found below.  The online registration, the brochure, and an informational video about the camp can all be found on that page.  After registering online, please send in a check made out to LHT PTO.  Checks should be sent to Miss Varner and are due by the child’s first day of camp:

Please come as many days as possible.  We are extremely flexible, so we do not need to know your exact schedule—you can come any days that work for you.  Signups will go all the way through the first week of the program.  There is also a $20 discount for signing up before June 15!

Throughout the month of March, Box Tops will be collected at Central School.  The Box Tops will be tallied and the winning grade will be voting on their grand prize!  Only the winning grade will be participating in the grand prize, so please send in box tops with your students name and grade!  Don’t forget to raid your pantry, ask neighbors, family and friends to clip Box Tops as well!  Good luck!  Any questions, email Denise DiSarno, Christina Russotti, or Shannon Seyda.  Please see the attached flyer for more details.

 Grade 8 Parents- Please remember to notify the school if your child will be out of school for “Freshman for a Day.”

Student council is collecting used markers, highlighters, sharpies and the like to send to recycling. There will be boxes and Central to collect them. Please no pens, pencils or crayons.

Attached you will find the sign-up form  for Central Middle School's 2018-19 Extra-Help Availability After School Program. This is an excellent opportunity for your child to receive support of clarification with a specific content area. If interested in signing up, please complete the attached form and return to the main office.  Students may also sign-up as needed throughout the school year. Please contact Ms. Lazirko, School Counselor, with additional questions.

LOCKER LADDERS - the PTO is once again selling Locker Ladders to help students organize & maximize the space in their lockers.  They are $25 each and are currently available in red, purple & pink.  We have ordered black & blue as well and should have them early next week.  See the attached flyer for a picture of the ladder & product specifications.  If interested, please complete the order form & send to school with a check for $25 payable to LHT PTO in an envelope marked "Locker Ladder Order c/o Denise DiSarno".  Any questions, please email Denise at denisesev@yahoo.com.  Thank you!
